OIG is committed to developing a diverse workforce to meet our mission and goals.
Agents conduct administrative, civil and criminal investigations. Agents conduct surveillance, testify in hearings, attend extensive training, assist in joint investigations with other agencies, and stay up to date on EPPC general policies and procedures and state statutes. Agents are required to travel across the state to support their investigative duties. Overnight travel and working irregular hours are required.
At times, OIG has openings for agents in a range of classifications. OIG occasionally seeks to fill the following positions:
Special Investigative Agent I- conducts entry level work in investigations. Works closely with experienced agents during investigations and while completing investigative reports and making recommendations.
Special Investigative Agent II- conducts independent in-depth investigations through the use of standard investigative techniques.
Special Investigative Agent III- conducts the most complex, in-depth and sensitive investigations. This agent is responsible for overseeing and assisting the entry level agents.
Management and supervisor positions may also be available from time to time.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. For information on how to apply please visit the Personnel Cabinet Web site.
